Rev. Dr. Robert Levey, PhD, MBA

Rev. Dr. Robert Levey brings over 15 years of leadership experience in marketing, development, and organizational strategy, supported by a rich academic background that includes a BA in Philosophy, BS in Organizational Behavior, MA in English, MBA, and PhD in Transformative Studies. His research on personal and societal transformation reflects a deep commitment to meaningful change.

As a senior online adjunct faculty member at the University of New Hampshire’s College of Professional Studies, Dr. Levey teaches nonprofit marketing, fundraising, leadership, and related subjects. He is also an Unstorying™ Certified Practitioner and founder of Exponential Squared, where he supports mission-driven organizations. Additionally, he has held leadership roles on nonprofit boards, including serving as president of The Chase Home, leading transformative culture change at both board and operational levels.

Rethinking Transformation: From Heroic Myths to Collective Action

Robert’s unique perspective is rooted in his critique of Western society’s reliance on the hero’s journey as the dominant metaphor for personal and societal transformation. In his view, this narrative often excludes diverse perspectives and perpetuates unsustainable patterns of thinking and action. His research and professional practice explore alternative frameworks that invite a broader understanding of transformation, grounded in ecological and relational sensibilities.

This vision led Robert to found EcoDialogues, a platform that combines facilitation, education, and reflective practices to address personal, team, and organizational challenges. EcoDialogues offers a fresh approach to navigating modern complexities, moving beyond ecological anxieties, cultural stagnation, and unhealthy organizational dynamics to foster clarity, collaboration, and empowered action. EcoDialogues inspires others to embrace transformation as a collective and inclusive journey, rather than a heroic individual pursuit.

Does the world need more heroes, or does it need more thoughtful, collaborative ways of being?
